The 2008 CPS winter meeting will be held at the beautiful Fairmount Château Lake Louise, Lake Louise, Alberta,
situated on the banks of a breathtaking lake with the majestic Rocky Mountains providing an astounding backdrop.
Only a two hour drive west from Calgary, the Chateau Lake Louise is enveloped by some of the most spectacular
scenery on the planet and is situated within UNESCO World Heritage Site, Rocky Mountain Parks. The meeting will
feature two excellent symposia,
“Neurorehabilitation from physiology to physical therapy”
and
“Information transfer in the microcirculation”. In addition, a lecture will be given by this year’s recipient
of the J.A.F Stevenson visiting professorship,
Dr. Paul Linsdell from Dalhousie University.
Dr. Quentin Pittman (University of Galgary) will give the Sarrazin
lecture, an award that was established by the Canadian Physiological Society to honour the memory of the first Canadian physiologist,
Dr. Michel Sarrazin (1659 – 1734).

Rooms are to be booked directly with Château Lake Louise.
The CPS 2008 local organizing committee has reserved
only a limited number of rooms at this special rate (see below) so please
be sure to book your accommodations early.

Room Rate: $205.00 per night, taxes not included, single occupancy, meals are not included.
Meals
An opening reception will be held on Wednesday evening (cash
bar and munchies). The price of this reception is included
in your CPS registration fee.
The opening reception is ponsored by ADInstruments who will be presenting a demonstration of
their educational resources for use with physiology classes.
A buffet dinner reception is being offered at $70.00 per faculty/guest
and $50.00 per student on Saturday evening. Registrants should
make their dinner reservation on the CPS registration form.
The Chateau Lake Louise offers a broad range of dining
options, from a gourmet sandwich at the 24hr Chateau Deli, to a fine dining experience
at 4 diamond Fairview Dining Room.
